Call of proposals for the ADAPT WAP project

The Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) is an international, intergovernmental organization operating in Africa’s Sahara-Sahel region. OSS works with its member countries according to the principle of subsidiarity. It acts as both an initiator and a facilitator of partnerships to address common environmental challenges.  Accredited by the Adaptation Fund (since 2013) and recently by the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the OSS is still working to strengthen its role as an intermediary (regional implementation entitie, RIE) between the Climate Funds and institutions for the implementation of climate change adaptation and mitigation projects / programs.

In this regards, The Sahara and Sahel Observatory (OSS) seeks to recruit a consulting firm for the elaboration of ADAPT-WAP* project document which meets the Adaptation Fund’s requirements. This could be achieved through the implementation of preparatory studies and additional thematic analyses which will serve as a basis for the finalization of the project document (Full Proposal).

*The ADAPT-WAP project concerns the W-Arly-Pendjari Transboundary Complex, shared by Benin, Burkina Faso, and Niger which was recently classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This regional project aims to strengthen the resilience of ecosystems and to improve populations’ livelihoods through the establishment of multi-risk EWS and the implementation of adaptation measures.
