Homestead and Farmland Development, Livelihood Improvements and Climate Smart Agriculture:
• 14,323 ha of hilly and/or un-hilly farmland was covered by different biophysical SWC measures. Most of this land is treated by biological measures, such as, grass planting on bunds.
• 95,646.8m3 of compost prepared, crop residue management practices undertaken on 5451.9 ha and green manuring has been practiced on 141.4 ha as part of climate smart agricultural activities.
• Improved and high value crops promotion at homestead 274,597.7 temperate and tropical fruits has been planted. 293,414 coffee seedling planted by 1521 HHs.
• Bee keeping promotion activities carried out 1184 HHs and164 user groups poultry promotion (improved breed introduction), 1,333 HHs and 61 user groups implemented shoat fattening.
